Women's Home Activities

In honor of veterans world wide today’s Thankful Thursday is dedicated to all who have served bravely. This is Women’s Home Activities way of saying Thank You to Veterans and a special shout out to those still serving. We would like to acknowledge all that you have sacrificed and let you know how much we appreciate what you have done for those of us on the home front.

Yes I know that yesterday was actually Veteran’s Day, but Thankful Thursday is today. Besides I truly believe that we should be grateful everyday for what those in uniform have provided for us. They give us the security to know that they are protecting our home and family from harms way. For this, I for one, am eternally thankful.

I’ve recently come across a site that I would like to share with you so that you too may show your appreciation for what our troops and veterans do for us. Operation Gratitude is a non-profit organization that’s mission is to lift the spirits of those deployed overseas. What a wonderful way for us to give back a little to those who do so much for us.

This gives us another opportunity for family bonding time and a great activity to teach our children about showing gratitude. Why not visit this site to see how you and your family can get involved in this worthwhile mission? I know that this is one activity that I will be pursuing with my own grandkids this weekend.

God Bless our troops and veterans. Thanks to all men and women who give their all so that we may remain safe at home.
