Grateful for Being Challenged

You know the old saying that goes, “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger”, well that is how I feel about challenges. So this Thankful Thursday post is dedicated to Grateful for Being Challenged.

Like many of you there are many challenges that I must overcome on a daily basis. Personally I prefer to look at them as an opportunity for growth. I may not always like the challenge put before me but I know that I have what it takes inside to get myself through.

We have a saying around our home that you may have heard me mention before, “Any day of learning is a good day”. I see being challenged by a situation as a lesson that I am supposed to learn.

Now I’m not saying that having to deal with challenges is always an easy thing to do. Some are harder than others. A lot of it comes down to how we as individuals decide to handle what is put before us. I personally work like mad to embrace the challenges I face. Having a positive attitude and relying on faith I believe that I can and will get through the struggles I sometimes have to tackle.

I challenge myself by finding the answers I need to solve the dilemma at hand. If I don’t know what to do at first I seek wisdom and guidance from a variety of sources. I pray, I ask others for assistance, I read to gain the knowledge I might need. The point is I never give up until I find a solution to the problem. When this happens I know for sure that I have learned something and life is good again.

If one thing doesn’t work, I try again. See the point here is that we humans are resilient creatures. We can evolve and change and yes overcome challenges we face. It is really up to us to take action. Even though I get frustrated at times I am still Grateful for Being Challenged because I am rest assured that I have grown stronger from the lessons that I learned by the strife. So what about you; are you prepared to face your own challenges and still come out on the other side feeling grateful for your efforts? I have faith in you. I know you are up to the challenge.
