Childrens Learning Activities

We have a new focal point for parents to pay close attention to. Why is Children’s Learning Activities so important to your child? Learning starts at home. Whether you realize it or not as a parent you are your child’s first teacher.

You lay the foundation for your children’s future learning. Exposing your children to preschool learning activities from a young age will give them the groundwork they need for their early childhood development.

You have the opportunity to set the building blocks for your children’s learning needs now, before they enter school. I am talking about teaching phonics to your preschooler. Learning phonics, which is letter-sound recognition, is fundamental for teaching reading.

I know many parents are concerned about teaching their children to read before they enter school. Some hold fast to the idea that kids should just be allowed to be kids and not push reading on them.

As a former high school special education teacher I cannot tell you how many parents came to me seeking help for their kids who were grade levels behind their peers when it came to reading. I know you don’t want your children to be faced with the same challenges that my students had to overcome as teenagers. I am confident that if my students had been taught phonics early on they would not have had the problems that the lack of these skills caused them throughout their years in school.

There are many ways that you can assist your children with understanding phonics at home. That is why my focus on the next series of posts will be dedicated to Preschool Software programs that emphasize using phonics and the benefits this offers when preparing your children to learn to read.

In the coming posts on Children’s Learning Activities I will show you 3 preschool software programs that will teach phonics along with other skills that will help your children learn to read. Using these programs will create special family bonding time for you and your children. Children truly appreciate parents that are totally involved with them. By spending this quality time together with your child you are building memories that will last a lifetime.
